inundado por um mistério de luz que é Deus e N´Ele vi e ouvi -A ponta da lança como chama que se desprende, toca o eixo da terra, – Ela estremece: montanhas, cidades, vilas e aldeias com os seus moradores são sepultados. - O mar, os rios e as nuvens saem dos seus limites, transbordam, inundam e arrastam consigo num redemoinho, moradias e gente em número que não se pode contar , é a purificação do mundo pelo pecado em que se mergulha. - O ódio, a ambição provocam a guerra destruidora! - Depois senti no palpitar acelerado do coração e no meu espírito o eco duma voz suave que dizia: – No tempo, uma só Fé, um só Batismo, uma só Igreja, Santa, Católica, Apostólica: - Na eternidade, o Céu! 
Il legame che lega a Dio ha la stessa forza, la stessa intimità, la stessa indissolubilità. Nei rapporti umani la morte può anche separare, in Dio invece la morte non c’è e perciò l’unione con Lui ha una indissolubilità che è l’eternità stessa. Soltanto che nel rapporto con gli uomini si fa presente l’amore stesso di Dio e nella misura che fa presente l’amore stesso di Dio, il legame umano diventa anche vero, reale, in tal modo che non è più soltanto un rapporto puramente sensibile, passionale, ma è un rapporto che ingaggia veramente due destini: il destino dell’uno e dell’altro; e questo è vero perché fa presente il legame stesso dell’uomo con Dio e veramente impegna tutto l’uomo verso Dio e tutto Dio verso l’uomo: «Amerai il Signore Dio tuo con tutto il cuore, con tutta l’anima tua…» San Paolo dunque, proprio con questa visione della fede nella sua teologia, nella fede vede tutta la vita cristiana fino alla consumazione; cioè se la vita cristiana ha inizio, radice e fondamento della fede, anche la sua consumazione è nella fede, perché tutto il processo della vita cristiana non sarà altro che vivere precisamente questo rapporto, che come da parte di Dio è il dono che Egli ti fa di tutto Se stesso, così deve essere anche il dono di tutto te stesso per tutta l’eternità a Lui.

Death can also separate in human relationships, but on the contrary there is not death in God, so the union with Him has an indissolubility which is eternity. The difference is that in the relationship with men the love of God is present and as far as the love of God is present, the human connection becomes also true, and real in such a way that it is not only a pure sensible, passionate relationship, but is a relationship which really involves two destinies: the destiny of one and of the other; and this is true because the bond of man with God is present and really commits all the man toward God and all God toward the man: «Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul…» So Saint Paul, with this vision of faith in his theology, sees in the faith all Christian life until consumption; it means that if Christian life has is a beginning, root and basis in the faith, also its consumption is in the faith, because all Christian life’s process will be no more than exactly living this relationship, which as it is a gift by God of all Himself, so it has to be the gift of yourself to Him for all eternity.
